Abstract

Organometallic reagents form the most essential part of synthetic organic chemistry of the modern times. Out of all the organometallic reagents, organoboron, organocopper, organopalladium and organomagnesium reagents have the widest range and scope of reactions. These three reagents make the backbone C—C bond-making process, which is indispensable to academia, chemical, and pharmaceutical industries. In this chapter most of the reagents and types of reactions of these four organometals have been covered.
