We review recent progress in the theoretical and experimental studies of single-wall carbon nanotubes in high magnetic fields. Low-temperature magneto-transport experiments demonstrate the influence of quantum interference, disorder, and band-structure effects. Magneto-optical spectroscopy has been used to show the effects of the Aharonov-Bohm phase on the band structure and on the excitonic properties of carbon nanotubes.
