Abstract

• Food intolerances, as opposed to food allergies, are a common clinical complaint • treatment requires not only limitation of foods but rehabilitation of the gut • a comprehensive approach to food intolerances may include the use of probiotics, digestive enzymes, gut-supportive nutrients and immune-system support • Food intolerances are dynamic and the long-term aim should be an eating plan inclusive of as many different foods as possible.
