In this chapter we discuss a rather different methodology for retrieving SQC models: not directly from N = 1 SUGRA (and therefore involving a dimensional reduction towards an N = 4 SUSY minisuperspace), but instead in an opposite direction, starting from purely bosonic configurations (e.g., general relativity and the bosonic sectors of string theories) and then building (in a consistent manner!) a minisuperspace with N = 2 SUSY, which is the simplest case [1-8]. © 2010 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
