Abstract

All the published stability constants of cyanocomplexes of metal ions, and the acidic dissociation constants of hydrogen cyanide, and those of the protonated metal complexes are critically surveyed. Unfortunately, a great fraction of data is unreliable and only a few thermodynamic data could be classified to the category of recommended values. The reasons of this situation are thorougly treated, and promising research areas are indicated. © 1987 IUPAC
