Abstract

India bags second position into total arable land with the agricultural products including rice, wheat, sugarcane, onion, tomato, potato, beans, and mangoes. According to the statement “Agriculture is the backbone of our India,” farming plays a significant role in India’s economic growth. The objective of the paper is to improve the cultivation and cultivated products through Smart Farming by incorporating drones. The applications of drones, an unmanned aircraft, in the farming are addressed in this paper. The drones can be programmed and automated in the activities from monitoring the soil moisture to maintaining the livestock and concern logistics. The extensive study implies that incorporating drones transforms the traditional method of farming into Smart Farming.
