Abstract

In air quality monitoring system, various monitoring devices generated tremendous amount of date which make traditional relational database very inefficient in reading and storing it. In order to solve this issue, this paper compares the characteristics of various NoSQL databases and selected MongoDB to process the data. In addition to that, methods and feasibility of using NoSQL database in the air monitoring system are analyzed. 1
