Biodiesel is a potensial alternative fuels to be produced sustainably. Palm oil is one of the raw materials than can be converted into biodiesel. This study aims to study the effect of a catalyst (NaOH/Ni/γ-Al2O3) on the transesterification reaction of palm oil on the percentage of biodiesel yield, density, percentage of ethyl ester, and the conversion of free fatty acids from biodiesel products from palm oil. The process of making biodiesel through transesterification of palm oil with ethanol reagent at a temperature of 60oC with the addition of a catalyst NaOH/Ni/γ-Al2O3. After the determined reaction time, the biodiesel product is left to stand for 24 hours so that there is a separation between the remaining ethanol and glycerol. Based on the results of the research and data processing that has been done, the best biodiesel product in this study is a product with a catalyst percentage
