Spiritualitas Doa Kontemplatif: Lebih Banyak Diseminarkan Daripada Dipraktikkan (Belajar Dari Praktik Spiritualitas Doa Kontemplatif Model Taize di Gereja Kristen Indonesia Soka Salatiga)

Abstract

There are various definitions of prayer, including prayer as a breath of life for believers, and prayer as a means of communicating with God. However, not many of us understand about contemplative prayer. Contemplative prayer is a form of spiritual discipline, and many Christians lack of discipline. As a result of this lack of discipline in spirituality, they become lacking in spiritual insight, often even losing moral strength. Contemplative prayer is more often be discussed in seminars than practiced. Seminars are certainly necessary, but it is more important to practice the discipline of prayer in the lives of believers. For this reason, this article will try to explore the practice of contemplative prayer in the Indonesian Christian Church (GKI) in the city of Salatiga, as well as the forms of prayer spirituality that they practice and possess.AbstrakAda berbagai definisi tentang doa, di antaranya adalah doa sebagai nafas hidup bagi orang percaya, dan doa sebagai sarana berkomunikasi dengan Tuhan. Namun, tidak banyak dari kita yang memahami tentang doa kontemplatif. Doa kontemplatif merupakan salah satu bentuk disiplin spiritual, dan banyak orang Kristen yang kurang dalam disiplin. Akibat kekurangan disiplin dalam spiritualitas ini, mereka menjadi kekurangan wawasan spiritual, bahkan sering kehilangan kekuatan moral. Doa kontemplatif lebih sering diseminarkan daripada dipraktekkan. Seminar tentu perlu, tetapi lebih penting mempraktekkan disiplin doa dalam hidup orang percaya. Untuk itu, tulisan ini akan mencoba mengupas praktik doa kontemplatif di Gereja Kristen Indonesia (GKI) di kota Salatiga, serta bentuk spiritualitas doa yang mereka jalankan dan miliki.
