Abstract

Iceland has geysers, solfatara and fumeroles and these make up for the lack of fossil fuels. Magma hearths are near the surface. However, volcanic activities are always a threat. The population of Iceland, its geology, its geothermal regions and the use of natural heat are shown on maps. The history of its use and its advantages are explained. -D.J.Davis
