Abstract

In this paper, we are dealing with the implementation of activities with the LEGO WeDo 2.0 robotic kit into primary education. In particular, we are reporting on an introductory activity for third and fourth grade pupils. On the basis of qualitative data analysis, we have discovered several differences in the creation of their first robotic models when comparing pupils in different grades. We have identified differences in terms of building, programming and presenting models. We plan to compare our findings from the introductory activity and also other activities with the findings of the Taiwanese researchers, with whom we collaborate in testing the activities with the robotic kit. We plan to compare the results of the analysis from a different cultural point of view and adapt the activities to both national curricula so that they can be part of the ordinary primary education.
