Abstract

The era of the digital economy opens up tremendous opportunities for improving the quality of human life. Information technologies have significantly simplified communication between people who are far from each other, have opened up the opportunity to quickly and inexpensively purchase goods, securely store large amounts of information, etc. All this contributed to the formation of a shared economy. The purpose of this study is to characterize and define the features of the business sharing model and its role in the conditions of digitalization. In the process of research, general scientific methods were used, such as: Analysis, logical and graphical modeling, and others. The article defines the concept of “sharing economy”, identifies the main advantages of the new business model and its main elements, provides forecasts for the development of online services, as well as analyzes existing and possible problems of the development of the sharing economy and suggests some measures to solve these problems, including with the participation of government agencies.
