This paper envisions a software project dedicated to disabled children with communication impairments or restrictions. The idea is to develop a costless and functional communication aid capable of voice output. This software could be a very convenient solution if used on the laptops provided by One Laptop Per Child to children in different developing countries. These laptops, together with their operating system, are designed following constructionist ideas, focused on cooperative learning and "learning learning". This work discusses the creation of a tool which is both an aid to the disabled children and a base on which inclusive context can be built in school classes. An ideal lesson plan is discussed which could be used as a guideline for teachers. © 2010 Springer-Verlag.
