Abstract

This paper presents the findings of a two year Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) project between the University of Strathclyde and a small Scottish manufacturing company. The aim of this KTP is to bring stability and continuity to the organisational processes of the business by introducing Six Sigma. The paper discusses the effects that the current economic climate has had in the business and presents the findings of a Six Sigma project implementation. © 2010 IFIP International Federation for Information Processing.
