Abstract

Liquid chromatography coupled to tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) is now considered as a perfect complement to HPLC-DAD (diode array detection) and gas chromatography (GC)-MS for the general unknown screening of drugs and toxic compounds. Here we describe a procedure applied routinely in our laboratory for clinical and forensic applications using the QTRAP™ technology. © 2012 Springer Science+Business Media, LLC.
