The article presents the results of an investigation into the use of rhetorical devices in social networks. The content analysis of 16 micro networks (200 Facebook users), showed that communication was rhetorical. In particular, the research suggested that even in a digital context, our common ways of thinking and being in contact with others are metaphorical.
