Abstract

Presents a conceptual framework for dealing with wastes and the way in which they should be managed. Three interconnected themes are canvassed: an integrated environmental resource strategy, best practicable environmental option, and integrated waste management planning. Having suggested how the concepts discussed could be practically applied, the paper examines the extent to which such concepts are reflected in existing law and policy.-from Author
