Abstract
This chapter describes compression of facial video, i.e., video where the face or head-and-shoulders of a person is the important information. This kind of video is used for communication between people and HD quality of this video makes it much more useful. When it is wearable so that the user is free to move it becomes an even more appealing application. © 2009 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
