Abstract

As an alternative to the restrictiveness of the dualist world view, a model is presented of the "whole" described as a wheel with spokes separating a number of interrelated but distinct segments or planes. These include the physical, the organic and the "numinal"; in addition a plane earlier than the physical may someday be understood. The place of mind, body, and soul in this schema and its relationship to psi phenomena are discussed. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2017 APA, all rights reserved)
