Abstract

Anterior ankle impingement syndrome is a pain syndrome mainly found in young athletes. It is based on a bony and/or soft tissue impediment in the anterior ankle compartment. Anterior ankle arthroscopy is the designated surgical treatment option after conservative treatment failure.
