This paper explores the construct of psychological well-being in work contexts. Positive Psychology allows us to take a different look at the labor scenario; emphasizing the positive aspects of everyday work and strengthening the resources employees profit from in order to cope with conflict situations. Through a mixed-methods design, the objective of our research project was to know the level of burnout at work and of psychological well-being of 100 subjects working at Government Departments in Mendoza, Argentina studied, taking into account psychosocial, organizational and educational factors that, according to the international literature, have an impact on health. From a positive position, this paper highlights the importance of psychological well-being at work and its special relation to coping strategies within a labor context that is increasingly becoming more stressful, uncertain and demanding. The results suggest a deeper analysis of the base theories. In the applied field, the findings of this research may produce programs that promote the development of positive coping strategies.
