Abstract

The phase composition was investigated in the range of 10-30% Fe. The eta phase was a main phase up to 13% Fe and extended to 20% Fe. The delta //1 phase appeared at 10% Fe, became the main phase in the range 13-20% Fe and was present up to 28% Fe. The GAMMA phase appeared at 10% Fe, remained up to 15% Fe, became the main phase over 21% and the sole one in the range over 28% Fe. Depending on the bath used, different phase compositions which contain the same Fe were found. Workability was evaluated in terms of the draw bead test. The eta phase exhibited good workability. The delta //1 plus GAMMA phases lowered workability.
