In this paper, we proposed a CT image denoising approach. This method combines Curvelet transformation with Monte-Carlo algorithm, firstly CT image's Curvelet decomposition is processed. Secondly, Monte-Carlo algorithm is used to estimate high frequency coefficients. Finally, the coefficients are shrunk according to threshold function. The results show proposed approach can obtain better visual effect and de-noise effect. © 2011 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
