Abstract

Interest in learning is something that is very urgent, therefore, interest in learning must continue to be formed and created and grown in all students so that later they will be successful in carrying out educational programs. The task of increasing interest in learning is a joint task, but those who have a role and closeness to students are subject teachers who often interact with them, so the creativity and innovation of subject teachers in using learning media is very important, especially in increasing interest in learning. This study aims to a) determine the effectiveness of infographic-based learning media in shaping student learning interest, b) determine the effect of infographic learning media on increasing student interest in learning. This type of research is qualitative research using a descriptive approach. There are 3 stages used in this study including data reduction, data presentation, verification and drawing conclusions. In the expert test, 2 experts were carried out, namely media experts and material experts to determine the feasibility of the product. The results of the study show that a) infographic learning media is very effective in shaping student interest in learning b) the resulting infographic learning media has the characteristics of providing feedback with automatic reinforcement, adjusting to speed, opportunity, and needs of students has visual appeal, provide different learning experiences. The implication of this research is that learning media in the form of infographics can increase student interest in learning because learning outcomes will improve by using the right learning media.
