Abstract

With the Mandate 376 on Public Procurement, the European Union aims at supporting inclusion of persons with disabilities. It is felt necessary to prepare the End-Users, i.e. persons with disabilities for participation into the standards processes (especially standardization in ICT) themselves. The background, motivation behind this goal is discussed and a special course is developed for the End-Users and presented in this paper. © 2009 Springer Berlin Heidelberg.
