Abstract

Patient: An asymptomatic 17-year-old male African professional soccer player underwent routine medical assessment to screen for pathologic cardiac conditions. The athlete trained for >20∈hours (h) and played at least one full competitive soccer game per week. He had no medical or family history of note. Specifically, no premature sudden deaths in close relatives was reported. © 2009 Springer-Verlag London.
