Abstract

The article focuses on how librarians can utilize free content Internet encyclopedia Wikipedia-related information literacy (IL) activities to provide users with practical training. It talks about how information literacy practitioners and librarians should make small contributions to Wikipedia and see the IL issues involved first-hand so they can discuss them with students. It comments on workshops concerning contributing and editing Wikipedia articles. INSET: Wikipedia IL activity ideas.
