Abstract

Aiming at the problem that how to make use of mixed data of PMU(Phasor Measurement Unit) and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) to improve the traditional state estimation in power system, a new method to solve the compatibility problem of PMU/SCADA mixed data is proposed. Firstly, the differences between PMU and SCADA are analyzed, and the model of PMU/SCADA mixed data is built. We can conclude that time synchronization and measure weights are the main factors which affect the compatibility of mixed data. Therefore, data relevance analysis is used to implement the synchronization of PMU and SCADA data, and the measure weights are re-quantified by considering the delay distribution of measure data. The simulation results of ship integrated power system show the accuracy of compatibility analysis and the validity of compatibility method. © 2012 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
