Abstract

VEX Robotics is a competition and an educational system for STEM (Science, technology, engineering and mathematics) programs. It was started in 2005 in the USA and was introduced in Europe in 2007 in England. Currently three European countries are using VEX Robotics system: United Kingdom, Sweden and Spain and it is expanding to France and Germany. In this paper we analyze VEX Educational robotics and we cover the main aspects of the European Expansion. © 2011 Springer-Verlag.
