Abstract

Mobilizing an ECMO patient is more difficult than mobilizing a usual ICU patient. Any tensions, kinks, or dislodgment of cannulas can be fatal for the patient. A good preparation, team communication, and extreme caution are the key to mobilize and even ambulate an ECMO patient safely [1-3].
