La bioética

Abstract

Resumen En este ensayo se plantean las relaciones entre la Bioética, como campo transdisciplinario de aparición reciente, y el pluralismo ético, como tradición moral. Se argumenta una relación de origen y de necesidad entre estos dos campos. Para lograrlo, se presentan algunas aclaraciones conceptuales que permiten avanzar en la identificación de las relaciones de origen entre la Bioética y la pluralidad moral existente en el mundo contemporáneo. Posteriormente, se hace una diferenciación entre el relativismo ingenuo, que puede resultar del pluralismo moral exis-tente, y el pluralismo ético como opción moral, para argumentar las relaciones de necesidad entre la Bioética y esta opción moral. Finalmente se presenta un análisis sobre los problemas bioéticos prioritarios en Colombia, los obstáculos para avanzar en el pluralismo ético en el país y se sugieren algunas alternativas. Abstract This essay show the relations between the Bioethics, a transdisciplinary field of recent appearance, and ethical pluralism, considered as moral tradition. The relation of origin and necessity between these two fields is argued. Some conceptual explanations appear to advance in the identification of the original relations between the Bioethics and the moral pluralism existing in the contemporary world. A differentiation between the ingenuous relativism, as a result of the existent moral pluralism, and the ethical pluralism like a moral option is made, to argue the relationship between the Bioethics and this moral option. Finally, it is presented an analysis about the high-priority bioethic problems in Colombia, the obstacles to advance in ethical pluralism in the country and some suggested alternatives.
