Abstract

The article argues how in rural education contexts, where qualified teacher shortages exist, access to expertise and high quality materials can be done through online networks. Topics discussed include ways in which technologies complicating the conceptualization of educational spaces and places; use of online videos and resources were used in a rural middle school setting; and use of technical inputs that assure rural educational improvement without social changes.
