Abstract

The beginning of any robotic program can be quite challenging as multiple members of the group are learning the technology and their own personal roles. Therefore, a dedicated robotic surgical team needs to be established aiming to create and maintain the standards necessary to make the program successful and efficient. Each member of the team has to have a specific role when establishing the program, particularly when setting up the robotic operating room. In this chapter, we will discuss the essential elements involved in the preparation of the robotic operating room, the back table and the robotic surgical team.
