Abstract

The mouse transcriptome was comprehensively analyzed by the collection of mouse full-length cDNA clones. With the development of several technologies, the international Functional Annotation Of Mouse (FANTOM) sketched the outlines of the transcriptional framework, finding an unexpectedly large number of noncoding and sense/antisense (S/AS)-pairing RNAs, which was called a novel RNA continent. In this chapter, the mouse encyclopedia project and the complexity of the mouse transcriptome will be introduced to give you a new view of the transcriptome world. © 2007 Humana Press Inc.
