Abstract

AutoCAD is best tool to edit vectorgraph, it can save vector graphs in file with extension of Drawing Interchange Format (DXF). This paper provide a solution that generate data for laser carve by analyzing DXF file, which get help from AutoCAD's powerful vector editing function and provide a new way to develop similar software. In this article, not only the format of DXF file and the illustration of algorithm about reading vector data from DXF file are introduced, but also the suggestion about sampling points from vector graphs by the given precision. At last, the developing trend of this technique and constructive methods to develop the similar software are proposed. © 2012 Springer-Verlag GmbH.
