Abstract

There are several alternative fibers which can be used to produce environmentally friendly paper. These include seaweed, hemp, confetti, beer and old banknotes. One of the companies that have been aggressively promoting the use of alternative fibers is Fenner Paper. Fenner has been working closely with Cartiera Favini in Italy to develop the Alga Carta, Mais Carta, and Natura Carta.
