Abstract

From a survey of the northeastern states of India, seven species belonging to three genera of the subfamily Acridinae were recorded. In addition to conventional morphological characters, the detailed structure of the male and female genitalia were studied. All the species are described and illustrated. A key to the known genera of the subfamily Acridinae is also provided.
