Nevertheless, even with its limitations, this book enriches current discourses on the distinctive features of Filipino labor migration. It is a timely contribution that goes beyond the traditional migration research themes, with its novel focus on how the current higher education setup is contributing to it. The findings presented should interest labor migration technocrats, higher education practitioners and the country's political leaders. A major point to ponder upon is the study participants' firm belief that the education system should continue preparing Filipino students for overseas work, and that export-oriented education is important for national development.
