Abstract

My main area of interest and competences is autism, and in that domain quite a few research programs have been proposed over these years. However many of the needs for educational programs that I will develop here are applicable to learning difficulties in general. The main idea being that such program development should start from the needs of the people with disabilities rather than from the available technology. The case of programs for people with autism will illustrate some of the specific needs that should be satisfied. © Springer-Verlag 2004.
