Abstract

The solubility of pioglitazone hydrochloride in binary mixtures of polyethylene glycol 400 with ethanol, N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone, propylene glycol, and water at 25 °C are reported. The generated data are fitted to the Jouyban - Acree model and the mean relative deviations are 2.6%, 1.5%, 5.8%, and 7.4%, respectively for ethanol, N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone, propylene glycol, and water. © 2010 Pharmaceutical Society of Japan.
