Abstract

This is the protocol for a review and there is no abstract. The objectives are as follows: To evaluate the effects of periodic change of body position during phototherapy as compared to no prescribed change in body position, in decreasing serum total bilirubin level and duration of treatment in neonates with unconjugated hyperbilirubinemia during the first 28 days of life. The secondary objectives of the review include evaluation of the efficacy of periodic change of body position in hemolytic versus non-hemolytic jaundice and in term versus preterm neonates.
