Abstract

Took GTR (Gripping-Thrusting-Regripping) Mechanism of TBM (Tunneling Boring Machine) as research object, a FEM (Finite Element Modeling) method of the mechanism was developed in SAMCEFTM. Based on system analysis of the constitution and operating principle, aimed at different working conditions, the finite element model of host machine was established. Since TBM is a rigid-flexible coupling system, the model took surrounding rock constraints, hydraulic oil stiffness and the key components’ elasticity into account. Through simulation, the paper analyzed the stress and deformation of GTR Mechanism. Finally, the model was verified to be valid through engineering examples.
