Abstract

Constructing arguments and understanding them is not easy. Visualization of argument structure has been shown to help understanding and improve critical thinking. We describe a visualization tool for understanding arguments. It utilizes a novel hi-tree based representation of the argument's structure and provides focus based interaction techniques for visualization. We give efficient algorithms for computing these layouts. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2008.
