Abstract

This literature review on biosolids and sludge management covers biosolids management issues; biosolids characteristics and measurement; sludge treatment technologies; and disposal and reuse, e.g., addition of anaerobically digested biosolids to soils that may improve phytoremediation of petroleum hydrocarbons through improved chemical, biological, and physical properties of the soils.
