Abstract

The eyelid is a three-dimensional, multilayered, and dynamic organ that has crucial functional role in protecting and lubricating the eyes as well as being a key feature in facial aesthetics. Understanding the anatomy is critical for the surgeon to ensure that the eyelid continues in its functional capacity as well as undergo rejuvenation. The anatomy of the eyelid is described.
