Abstract

In this paper, we define a class of asymptotically work – conserving service disciplines which, in particular, are used in some existing wireless systems. Then we describe a class of state-dependent queueing systems with focus on the workload-dependent and queuedependent systems with asymptotically work-conserving discipline. We outline the regenerative approach to stability analysis of statedependent systems and formulate corresponding sufficient stability conditions. In the last section these conditions are verified by simulation a system with workload-dependent and queue-dependent input rates and a wireless system with Markov-modulated transmission rates.
