Abstract

Composed of historical, philosophical, anthropological, sociological, clinical texts, in short, from different approaches related to the area. The book seeks, in particular, to continue the questions raised by the thinkers Michel Foucault and Franco Basaglia, aiming to provoke a debate about the modes of subjectivity in force in our society, as well as to propose alternatives to the pathologization processes of the tragic experience of madness. Highlight for a historical document about the visit that Olavo Bilac made to the children's section of the National Hospice for the Alienated, in 1905. Work of fundamental importance, of essential content for scholars and lay people on the subject.
