Abstract

Novel antibiotic, rousselianone A, was produced by fermentation of Phaeosphaeria rousseliana L2144. Rousselianone Awas characterized as a newderivative of phenalenone. The antibiotic showed no antimicrobial activity in vitro, but exhibited in vivo antifungal activity against plant diseases with a relatively broad spectrum. © 1993, JAPAN ANTIBIOTICS RESEARCH ASSOCIATION.
