Abstract

Pentachlorophenyl acrylate monomers were synthesized for the first time via the condensation reaction of acrylic acids with pentachlorophenol by using N,N'-dicyclohexylcarbodiimide as condensing agent. Copolymn. of the acrylate monomers with pentaerythritol tetraacrylate was studied. The preliminary results indicated that the acrylate foams can be produced on supercrit. carbon dioxide drying.
