Abstract

At this point in the book, the focus shifts from examining the foundations of electrochemistry to studying practical electrochemical processes. The first process examined is chloralkali electrolysis for the production of chlorine gas, hydrogen gas, and sodium hydroxide. Next, molten salt electrolysis for the production of pure metals, such as aluminum, magnesium, and sodium, is presented, followed by methods for metal extraction from aqueous solutions and metal purifications.
